One of the best parts of planning a wedding is reading copious amounts of bridal magazines. I am definitely guilty of this, and Anna can confirm that these magazines bombard our entire living room table. As annoying as it is that advertisements take up more than half of the pages in a magazine you paid ten to fourteen dollars for, the magazines do offer some great ideas and inspiration for real life wedding trends.
A trend that I recently read about is the return of the simple white wedding cake. Regardless of whether this was “trendy” at the time of my wedding, a simple white wedding cake is undoubtedly the type of cake I would choose. I love its simplicity and elegance. However, apparently brides in the past few years have been abandoning the simple white wedding cake for bright colored wedding cakes or cupcake wedding cakes.
Now that the simple white wedding cake is back, it’s anything but boring. Brides have been sprucing up their white cakes with floral arrangements that match the flowers in their bouquets and centerpieces. I love these simple white cakes!
