There is something so great about seeing personal touches at a wedding. To me, it shows that the couple {well, lets be honest- the bride} put time and energy into the details of their special day. One great way to personalize a wedding is to use the names of the bride and groom, or the couple’s initials in a monogram.
A wedding monogram is typically not used until the day of the wedding to symbolize the “coming together” of the bride and groom. The bride’s initial usually goes first. When the bride takes the groom’s last name, the order is: bride’s first initial, shared last initial {usually larger}, groom’s first initial.
While Blake and I have not yet used a wedding monogram, my mom did put a personal touch on the invitations for an engagement party that my parents are throwing us in New York. The stamps above were put on the engagement invitation envelopes. I thought they were adorable. Go Mom!
