What I'm Loving Wednesday!

Hello everyone! This week for my What I'm Loving Wednesday post, I'm completing the series of posts about our trip to Europe. Here are some of the things I loved about Barcelona, the last city we visited.
1. We saw La Segrada Familia. This gorgeous church is the work of Catalan architect, Antoni Gaudi. The church is beautiful on the inside and out. The architecture is unlike anything I have seen before.

2. We spent time at the Parc Guell. This is another one of Gaudi's works, which he completed in the early 1900's. The park was bustling with people and there were tons of vendors and performers. Again, the design and architecture were incredible!

3. We went up the Tibidabo mountain. The view from the top is amazing! You can see the whole city from the center to the beach.

4. We walked down Las Ramblas. This area of the city has tons of street performers and the famous marketplace {la boqueria}. The market has every food you can imagine from pig heads and lobster to chocolate and fruit. I had some fun at the candy booth!

5. We went to the beach. The weather was perfect for a stroll on the beach. We stopped for some ice cream and watched the volley ball matches. Although it was only in the high 60s, there were still people in swim suits laying on the beach!

6. We had some great meals! Of course, we had to have paella. We went to a restaurant on the beach called Barceloneta and ate seafood paella. The restaurant gave us glasses of Cava, a sparkling Catalan white wine. It was sooo tasty! We also had tapas one night. These small plates are actually surprisingly filling, and there were so many options to chose from!

It was a great trip! I am so lucky to have these memories with my hubby to be!
P.S. I'm also loving all my new followers. Thanks everyone!
