Weekend in Review

Happy Monday everyone! This weekend just flew by but it was so great to be back to normal life. Without wedding planning there is so much more time! Our first weekend as a married couple was perfect!

On Thursday, we had dinner with Blake's parents to pick up all the gifts they had been collecting from our door while we were on our honeymoon. We had a ton of fun opening everything up! Blake's grandmother surprised us with a special gift that she had been knitting for 1200 hours over the past year- an afghan blanket. The color is perfect and it looks great on our couch! 

Friday during the day I ran errands and most importantly picked up our thank you notes. Here is a sneak peak of one of the templates:

Friday night was a girls night. I made my cheddar corn dip and had to stop myself from devouring it before I even got there. With all the fun drinks, it ended up leading to a night of karaoke. What a night!

Saturday I had big plans for us prior to my Friday night escapades. Needless to say we didn't get quiteeeee as much done on Saturday as I had planned, but we made a huge dent in opening up the gifts that were piled up in our guest room. It was even more of a challenge finding a place to put it all! Next step- getting to work on those thank you cards!

Sunday morning I woke up and tested out one of our new items- the waffle maker! My friend Francesca even bought us the Belgium waffle mix, so we were all set! 

In the afternoon I went to a bridal shower. It was so fun to finally go to someone else's wedding festivities now that mine are over! Can't wait for all the fun wedding events to come. After the shower I headed to Pottery Barn to make some returns. I finally bought our curtains for the master bedroom! Hopefully we can get those up sometime soon. When I left Pottery Barn I couldn't help but go into TJ Maxx Home Goods. That is store is addicting and I can never leave without purchasing something. Yesterday's purchase was a new set of pillows for the couch.
