Writing thank you notes is something that I sure have been doing a lot of! Something about getting thank you notes out the day after I get a gift gives me such a thrill! Last week I read an article in Southern Living on the proper way to write a thank you note. The notes do not need to long and should contain 3 parts. The first part is a statement of gratitude for the gift. The second sentence is how you are going to use the gift or why you really love it. The final line should contain a statement about when you you will see or talk to the gift giver.
Although I know its a daunting task, I'm looking forward to writing all the wedding thank you notes! Currently all the gifts we have gotten post-shower are piled up in our guest room. We are waiting to open those up after the wedding instead of spoiling all the fun before the actual day!

I LOVE writing thank you notes too! I write thank you notes for little and big things, but I always write them. I didn't realize how much they meant to people until I realized how happy they made me when I received them! :)
