Miscellaneous Monday

Well, thanks to Irene, I postponed my NY wedding planning trip for two weeks. It actually works out great because I will have a better handle on what needs to be done by then. Canceling my trip however, freed up this weekend for a relaxing, unplanned 3 days.
On Friday, I did some shopping while Blake was at work. I ventured into Sephora and can never seem to leave there empty handed! I bought a new face sun block for our upcoming beach trip from Clinique and a Korres yogurt hydrating mask. I'm excited to try them both!
Friday night, we went out to dinner at Tin Angel. If you read my post from two weekends ago, you'll remember that we went there for brunch last Sunday also. We just love this restaurant and the food is excellent!
Saturday during the day we bummed around. We relaxed at the pool for a little and I really got into reading The Help. I am determined to finish the book while the movie is still in theaters. If you haven't read it, I really recommend it!
After the pool, I turned on some day-time TV and started watching a show called My Big Fat Gypsy Wedding. The show follows gypsy (or traveler) girls who are getting married. It was so interesting to see their lives. Most of them cannot read and write very well, and spend a majority of their day cleaning and preparing meals. They do have some interesting wedding traditions though.
The dress:
Sometimes the dresses weigh hundreds of pounds and the girls gets scars from dragging it around all night!
The cake:
Saturday night we watched the Titans vs. Bears pre-season game and had some cocktails on our patio. I am so pumped for football season to start!
On Sunday, I got up and cooked brunch. I made Blake fried eggs, sausage, bacon and biscuits.
I put a healthy spin on my breakfast and had:  egg whites with cheese, two pieces of bacon and a biscuit. It was tasty!
Sunday night, Blake's best man and his girlfriend were in town after a wedding they had gone to in Chattanooga. We went out for dinner at Virago, which is probably one of my favorite restaurants in Nashville. The spicy edamame is delicious!
Overall, it was a great weekend. Hope you all had fun!

I LOVE the clinique 50!! It has been my go-to this summer. It actually lasts a really long time for such a small tube. Great buy!
