Happy Monday everyone! Another weekend came and went. This past weekend was a relaxing one. Blake is taking the Bar Exam this week, so it was a pretty low key weekend. It was just what I needed after 4 straight weekends with plans. On Friday, I cooked a yummy dinner for Blake including Gazpacho, Skillet Scalloped Corn, and Breaded Chicken. The chicken was breaded in cornmeal, which is now our FAVORITE breading. I just dipped the chicken breasts in an eggwhite/water mix and then covered them in cornmeal before pan frying. It was a ton of fun and we even got to use our new food processor! How exciting :)
On Saturday I woke up and started a day of beauty. First, I went for an hour Swedish massage. I have started going to a little place in the 12 South area called Practical Massage. Try it out- they are great! Next, I headed to Signature Nails for a manicure and pedicure. I decided to get a gel manicure (the nail polish that is not supposed to chip for 3 weeks). I will keep you all updated on how long it lasts! So far I'm loving it.
Later Saturday afternoon, I went to Arrington Vineyards with a group of girls. We had a ton of food and good wine. The vineyard is such a great place to relax and listen to live music. I will definitely be going back.
On Sunday, Blake and I started the day with a breakfast at Noshville. I have loved getting breakfast at Noshville ever since my college days at Vandy. Now that we live in Green Hills, the Greens Hills Noshville is just minutes away!
The rest of the day I relaxed at the pool and became engulfed in the book I'm reading- Picture Perfect by Jodi Picoult. I really enjoy Jodi Picoult's books because most of them involve a love story and some sort of legal aspect. A perfect mix for me!
I hope you all had a good weekend! Enjoy your Monday!
